I smile back at the last year gone by
Amidst a flurry of changes all round,
Lie special moments, frozen in time
Blessed am I for I have work that I love
Friends who believe I am more than I am
Family that loves - life does slowly unfold
You came out the blue,green nay rose gold
Happy - I had always believed I was
Not for moment did I need any more
Sigh, even a cup that’s seemingly full
Seems almost empty at closer sight
Your voice I sense a tremble so soft
It sends a warm shiver down my spine
For so much was said, with naught said
There was music even in pauses instead
I search for words as I pen this down,
Smile, smile and then smile again for I know
That days to come, hold great stories to tell.
